Sustainable music industry toolkit (KEMUT)
The purpose of the KEMUT project is to foster sustainable development in the music industry by creating a concrete set of means (a toolkit) principally for live music activities.
The toolkit will include items for instance for monitoring and reducing carbon dioxide emissions and for compensating for emissions generated. It may also include tools for audience members to adopt more climate-friendly practices. Ultimately, its purpose is to encourage a more climate-friendly approach for consumers of culture through publicity and education
The project partners are the Association of Finnish Symphony Orchestras, Finland Festivals, the Finnish Jazz Federation, the Finnish Musicians' Union, LiveFin and Music Finland. The project has been financially supported by the Finnish Music Foundation (MES).
